Our Optometry Doctors
Megan A. Sullivan, O.D.
Dr. Sullivan is a board-certified Examiner in Optometry who grew up in Rockwell City and graduated from Buena Vista University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Dr. Sullivan then attended Illinois College of Optometry and obtained her doctorate in Optometry in 2009. After graduation, she went on to complete a residency at the Newington, Connecticut Department of Veterans Affairs in primary care with an emphasis in ocular disease. In June of 2013, she returned to Storm Lake to join the doctors at Vision Care Associates, P.C.
Dr. Sullivan is a comprehensive optometrist who specializes in ocular disease, contact lens fittings, pediatric eyecare, urgent eyecare & pre and post-operative care. Dr. Sullivan holds affiliations with the Iowa Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, and the American Optometric Association.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her three children; Declan, Finley, and Collins as well as biking with her husband Michael.
Kendra Willhoite, O.D., MS, FAAO
Dr. Kendra Willhoite is a board-certified optometrist and an Ohio native with several family ties to Northwest, IA. After receiving Bachelor of Science degrees in Kinesiology and Athletic Training from Miami University in Oxford, OH, she attended the Ohio State University College of Optometry. Dr.Willhoite graduated Cum Laude with both a Doctorate of Optometry and Master of Vision Science degrees in 2023.
Since joining Vision Care Associates, P.C. in August 2023, Dr. Willhoite enjoys tending to a wide range of eye care needs including urgent eye care, pediatric exams, ocular disease management, and specialty contact lens fittings. She is affiliated with the Iowa Optometric Association, American Optometric Association, and in October 2025 earned the distinction of Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
In her free time she enjoys cheering on the Cyclones, crafting, and hanging out with her cat, Weeble.
Derrick G. Randall, O.D., FAAO
Dr. Randall was born and raised in Storm Lake and graduated from Storm Lake High School in 2006. He received a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Northern Iowa in 2011. He attended Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona where he ultimately obtained a Doctorate of Optometry degree in 2016. He has been working as an Optometrist in Surprise, Arizona since graduation.
Dr. Randall is affiliated with the Iowa Optometric Association the American Optometric Association and in October 2025 earned the distinction of Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Randall enjoys spending time with his wife Rachele, and their children Quinn, Landon and Riley.

Our Practice
We have three full-time therapeutically certified optometrists to meet all of your eyecare needs. Our doctors treat conjunctivitis (pink eye), glaucoma, uveitis, remove foreign bodies as well as perform general eye health exams. We also specialize in hard-to-fit contact lens patients.
We have 18 employees to make your experience at our office efficient and professional.
We have on-site lens edging to provide same-day service on most single vision glasses.
